Overview
Who is Jesus?

 Hebrew Names & English Translations

✝️ Who is Jesus? He is Yeshua!

The Son of God’s Hebrew name is Yeshua, which means “God saves.” Yeshua is, and always has been, a Jew. He was sent first to save Israel and then to the nations.

Yeshua didn’t come from a Western country, wasn’t Caucasian, didn’t speak English, and wasn’t named “Jesus.” He wasn’t part of the “Christ" family. Yeshua was the name that God instructed His parents to give their baby boy. If you were saved, it was by Yeshua's sacrifice.

So, where did the name “Jesus” come from?

  • The Hebrew name Yeshua (ישוע) was transliterated into Greek as Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς)

  • Greek Iēsous was then Latinized as Jesu. By the time it reached Western culture, the name had become “Jesus” - a sort of  English nickname for the Hebrew name, Yeshua.

What’s In a Name, Anyway?

It’s important to understand that “Jesus” is not a Hebrew name and never was. The name cannot be translated back into Hebrew because there is no direct Hebrew equivalent for the word “Jesus.”

In the first century, Jewish parents—including Miryam (Mary) and Yosef (Joseph)—would not have chosen this name, since it did not exist in their language. The Hebrew name given to God’s Son was Yeshua, and that is what He was called during His earthly life. Over time, translations and linguistic shifts produced the English form “Jesus,” which is widely used today in churches. Recognizing this history helps us appreciate the depth of His actual name and its roots in Hebrew faith and culture.

Names in Scripture carry significant weight. Above all, the Name of God is sacred, full of authority, and in Yeshua rests all spiritual power. The cosmos itself—the visible world—was brought forth from the unseen realm as God spoke (or sang) creation into existence. When we call upon God or His Messiah, we are not merely using a name as a label—we are invoking the very identity and attributes of God Himself.

To start, let’s explore Christian/Jewish lingo and terms. That’s especially helpful if you come from a different religious background, or even if you grew up in a family that “attended church.”

English‑speaking churches use English Bibles. They translate the Hebrew name Yeshua as “Jesus”. Jesus isn’t a Hebrew word or name. While both Yeshua and Jesus refer to the same person, we prefer His name over the English translation and use it most often, although both are OK. Yeshua reminds us that the Son of God and the Son of Man, and the only way we are restored to a relationship with a Holy God who chose Jews as His people, and has never rejected Jews who trust in Jesus.

The Father referred to the nation of Israel (and no other nation) as His people. “His people” became those who accepted the sacrifice (under the Law of Moses) of Yeshua, as redemption and atonement for the sins of those who believed in Him. That group included some Jews and some Gentiles who were attached to Israel and also received Yeshua as their Savior. This was true for two to three hundred years after His death, resurrection, ascension, and Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on Kingdom believers. The church has not replaced Israel as God’s Chosen people,

In Islam, there is a person known as ʿĪsā (Isa), whom Muslims honor as a prophet, but do not acknowledge as divine or the Son of God and the Son of Man. They claim only Allah is God, and Isa is just a man. If Isa was simply a man, His death was meaningless, since men are sinful, and their death atones for nothing and confers no righteousness to themselves or another.

What is a Messiah

✝️What is a Messiah

The Greek word Christos means “Anointed One,” which is the translation of the Hebrew term Messiah (Mashiach - מָשִׁיחַ). So when we say “Jesus Christ,” we’re saying “Yeshua, the Messiah,” which means Yeshua is the one anointed to redeem and reign. Christ (Messiah) is not a person’s last name. Many Christians assume it is.
In the first century, Jewish expectations of a messiah were largely political or military: someone to free Israel from Roman rule. That is why many missed Yeshua, whom God sent as Messiah, because He didn’t overthrow Roman rule in Israel; instead, the Messiah overthrew Satan and Death’s power over the human spirit and soul, something only God could do. Yeshua is both Messiah and Lord of the Kingdom of God on Earth and in Heaven.
•     As Messiah, He fulfilled prophecy, carried God’s anointing, and bore our sin.
•     As Adonai (Lord), He revealed His divine nature as the Son of God and rightful King over all creation.

Understanding this helps explain why His earliest followers struggled to grasp His mission—and why modern believers must return to His original context to see His complete identity. Yeshua did not simply hold a title; He embodied and fulfilled it completely.

 🔥Person of Holy Spirit

Today, understanding the Holy Spirit is crucial because He is the only personal manifestation of God that remains in our physical (seen) realm. Yeshua was raised, ascended back into Heaven, and isn’t here. The Father also isn’t here, so every manifestation of God in the seen, earthly realm is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, who has person-ness. The Holy Spirit is poured out upon us and entangled with us. Once saved, we become His altar and part of the body of Yeshua on Earth. Thy Kingdom come on earth... - means through us, who make up the body of Yeshua on Earth.

For now, welcome the Holy Spirit so He can lead you in discerning and understanding what is true. He speaks through three consistent witnesses: the Written Word (Scripture), the Living Word (Messiah Yeshua), and the Spoken Word of God (Rhema). When you are listening rightly and walking in fellowship with God, these voices will always agree and never contradict one another.

Saying “yes” to Jesus/Yeshua is only the beginning—the true adventure is the journey that follows. The Holy Spirit is ready to guide you with wisdom, strengthen you with boldness, and surround you with peace. From this moment on, every step you take is a step you walk together with Him. “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth” John 16:13.

Who is Holy Spirit?

❤️ Prayer - Talking to a Holy God

Holy Spirit Transforms Hearts and Minds

Open your heart fully to Yeshua—the long-awaited Messiah of Israel and the eternal High Priest of Heaven. His suffering was not just substitutionary—it was transformational, canceling the debt of sin and unlocking new creation in your inner being.
Prayer is the living conversation between a holy God and all who have accepted His invitation to belong to His Kingdom. Through prayer, believers not only speak to God but also learn to listen for His voice. He speaks through the Bible, His inspired Word; through the counsel and encouragement of other people; through the beauty and order of nature; and even directly to the heart of those who take time to wait quietly before Him. To honor God in prayer, believers can offer thanksgiving for His goodness, spend intentional time in Scripture to align their thoughts with His truth, and cultivate a spirit of worship in daily life. Prayer is not a ritual but a relationship—an ongoing dialogue that deepens trust, shapes character, and draws believers closer to the One who loves them. In this way, prayer becomes both the anchor and the compass of the Christian journey.
The Kingdom of God is no surface renovation. It’s a spiritual heart transplant, where old desires are replaced, wounds are healed, and affections are redirected. You’re not just saved—you’re being re-scripted from the inside out.

Relating to God
Choosing Bible

📖 Choosing a Bible

Bible Translations in English Are Not Scriptures

🪶 Scripture vs. Translations: Know the Difference

Scripture is what the Holy Spirit revealed directly to human writers—recorded in ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It’s God’s Word, eternal and Spirit-breathed.

Bible translations, however, are human attempts to express those truths in modern languages. This means some translations:

  • Miss the cultural context of Jewish thought.

  • Use church doctrine to reshape original meaning.

  • Omit key phrases or twist specific passages due to bias.

Many translations have value. But they must be tested. Don’t confuse a translation with divine truth.

🧭 What You Need for Growth

You don’t need 900 translations. Just 3–5 reliable ones that help you absorb Scripture the way it was first delivered. We recommend:

  • 📕 New King James Version (NKJV) – Balanced clarity and reverence.

  • 📘 English Standard Version (ESV) – Highly readable and faithful.

  • 📗 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) – Reveals Hebrew names, culture, and context.

  • 📙 The Passion Translation (TPT) – Emotionally rich, but not comprehensive.

  • 🧠 BibleHub.com or YouBible app – Offers side-by-side parallel verses to help you compare translations. Some of the above are word-for-word translations, while

You don’t need to buy them. All can be accessed on your cell phone, laptop, or desktop computer using free resources like:

  • BibleHub.com.

  • YouVersion App (Google Play or Apple App Store).

Reading & Study

 📖Bible Reading and Study

Many people are unaware of the distinction between Scripture and translation. Scripture refers to the inspired Hebrew and Aramaic writings preserved by the Jewish people. In contrast, most English Bibles are modern interpretations—filtered through cultural bias, historical limitations, the traditions of men, translation shortcuts, or a combination of all of the above.

Here’s why that matters:

  • Paul’s letters were most commonly written in Greek, but some sections intended for Jewish readers were written in Hebrew.

  • When he referenced “Scripture,” he meant what we now call the Old Testament.

  • At the time Paul was writing, the New Testament didn’t yet exist—and wouldn’t be compiled for another 200+ years.

  • Gentile believers often relied on Jewish believers to explain Paul’s teachings because they were unfamiliar with Jewish culture, festivals, and offerings.

Without this lens, Paul’s letters can seem complex, confusing, or contradictory—when in truth, they’re deeply rooted in Torah and prophecy. Understanding this unlocks clarity in Scripture study.

Old Testament is Scripture

📜 Old Testament Was and Is—Scripture

Some Christian doctrines teach that Jesus abolished the Law of Moses, but that directly contradicts what Yeshua Himself said in Matthew 5:17-18: He didn’t come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill it.

Here is the Truth:

  • The idea that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s covenant is called Replacement Theology.

  • This is a doctrinal error, and it distorts God’s promises, His nature, and His covenant faithfulness.

  • The only Scripture Yeshua and the Apostles taught from was the Old Testament, composed of:

    • Torah (Law of Moses)

    • Writing of the Prophets (Nevi’im)

    • Psalms, Proverbs, Job, etc. (Ketuvim)

Start in O.T.

📚Old Essential to Understanding the New

The New Testament doesn’t replace the Old—it's built upon it. The entire Gospel message is found in the Old Testament, in all three parts of it. The prophets like:

  • 📝 Daniel, Ezekiel, and Isaiah all mention it. Their prophecy are still unfolding and being fulfilled today.

  • 🔭 Understand how End Time signs were described centuries ago, centuries before Yeshua was begotten as a human being.

The Old Testament reveals:

  • Why did God choose Israel?

  • What spiritual authority looks like.

  • How the covenant works.

  • What holiness truly means.

  • What the gospel is.

  • What is about to happen in the Middle East?

  • What does the End of the Age of the Gentiles mean?

🚨 End Times: Yes, You Were Born for This Era

Prophecies from long ago are being fulfilled in the present. Key signs to watch for:

  • 💱 A coming global economic collapse (the fall of “Babylon”).

  • 🧬 The Mark of the Beast is tied to commerce and digital control.

  • 🛕 Rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem.

  • ⚔️ The revealing of the Antichrist.

  • 📜 A Peace Treaty between Israel and Islam.

These events point to the Tribulation described in the last book of the Bible, Revelation. The prophetic clock started ticking when Israel was re-established in 1948. You were born into a crucial time—not by accident, but for a purpose. There is a clock and calendar in the Earthly realm, but the more interesting one is the clock and calendar in the Spiritual realm. This site will help you understand the difference and when they align in "kairos" moments. (A kairos moment is a spiritually significant point in time—an appointed, divine window where God’s purpose intersects with human experience. Unlike Chronos, which refers to chronological or sequential time, Kairos is about spiritual timing that intersects with Earthly timing. It’s not just when something happens—it’s the spiritual purpose behind why it happens.

🔥 Biblical Examples of Kairos Moments

  • Esther’s courage to approach the king “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

  • Jesus’ birth in the “fullness of time” (Galatians 4:4).

  • Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended (Acts 2).

  • Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus (Acts 9).

Each of these wasn’t random—they were God-ordained turning points that changed history. Here are some Kairos moments yet to occur. See if you can use the Biblehub.com to find them in the New Testament.

  • Global economic collapse (the demise of Mystery Babylon).

  • Mark of the Beast required for commerce.

  • New, One World Government.

  • Temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt.

  • The revealing of the Antichrist from one of the Islamic countries

  • The Peace Treaty between Israel and Islam.

These are all events of the End Times, and we have already entered them since the re-establishment of Israel in 1948. We believe that anyone born today will witness all of these events. The Holy Spirit is going to be making you more aware of these "appointed times."

🧭 How You Recognize a Kairos Moment

  • You feel a spiritual nudge or an urgent need to act.

  • Circumstances align in a way that feels bigger than coincidence.

  • Scripture, prayer, or wise counsel confirms the timing.

  • You sense that obedience now will unlock something eternal

To walk in kairos, you don’t need to predict the future—you need to stay sensitive to the Spirit, prayerful, and willing to respond when God opens a door. These moments often feel like crossroads—where faith meets opportunity.

The Spiritual times and Seasons, and Days are changing rapidly. A new Era is about to dawn in your lifetime. God envisions a role for you and all Kingdom believers to play in this new Era. You don't miss your calling; you can get equipped.

Chapters and Verses

🔢 Chapters and Verses

When you read a Bible today, you're likely navigating it by book titles, chapter numbers, and verse divisions—but none of those existed in the original manuscripts.

Here’s what many don’t realize:

  • The Hebrew Scriptures and even the original New Testament letters were written in a flowing style.

  • There were no chapters or verses—those were added over a thousand years later to help organize and reference passages.

  • While useful for study, these divisions can sometimes interrupt context or even confuse meaning.

So when you read Scripture, especially Paul's letters or Hebrew prophecy, it helps to:

  • Reread whole sections or books of the Bible, not just isolated verses.

  • Trace the flow of thought, especially where chapter breaks feel arbitrary.

  • Use multiple translations or original language tools when something feels out of place.

Studying this way brings you closer to how the early believers read and shared Scripture: as a living narrative, not a compartmentalized reference manual.

Journeling

📝Journaling

Prayer Journal Master 1-2 Rev 9_Page1.png
Prayer Journal Master 1-2 Rev 9_Page2.png

Your soul is awakening. You’re encountering truths, Scriptures, and spiritual language that you’ve never heard before—and it’s easy for powerful moments to slip away. That’s why journaling is so important in this season of growth. Your Kingdom Journal helps you:

  • 💡 Remember what matters. Write down key teachings, Scriptures, and spiritual ideas while they’re fresh.

  • 🔍 Recognize patterns. Track how the Holy Spirit speaks to you, answers your prayers, and deepens your understanding.

  • 🕊️ Reflect on your transformation. You’ll begin to see how your mindset, emotions, and faith evolve week by week.

  • 🧭 Prepare for spiritual conversations. Sharing your notes with a pastor, mentor, or fellowship leader gives clarity and invites deeper guidance.

  • 🌙 Capture dreams and visions. If the Holy Spirit gives you impressions in sleep, your journal becomes sacred ground.

  • 📖 Anchor your life in Scripture. Pair each insight with verses—this forms your personal roadmap of the Word.

You don’t have to be a good writer—just honest, open, and willing to record what the Spirit highlights. You’re building a record of your awakening. Later, it will help you recall what you have learned and who taught it.

Choosing a Fellowship

👑 Choosing a Fellowship

We use the term Kingdom Believers to describe those who have been reborn by trusting in Yeshua—the Jewish Messiah—and have received righteousness not by works, but by His sacrifice. This isn’t about joining a denomination. It’s about entering a covenant family and receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

Here’s what defines a Kingdom Believer:

  • Trust in Yeshua’s death, burial, and resurrection as the basis for restored righteousness before God.

  • A transformed heart and renewed mind—through the Holy Spirit living within us.

  • A desire to live as citizens of God’s Kingdom, not just attendees of religious institutions.

We believe:

  • The Old Testament, in its original Hebrew and Aramaic, is the inspired Word of God.

  • Every translation—no matter how well-intentioned—comes with cultural and linguistic limitations.

  • There are over 900 English Bible versions, each shaped by the assumptions of its time.

  • The Cross of Messiah Yeshua is level ground: no one earns salvation; it is given by grace to those who trust.

🏛️ Don’t Just Attend—Join the True Ekklesia

Not every “church” today reflects the true Spirit-led gathering called ekklesia. That Greek word meant a Kingdom assembly—a body appointed to carry truth, legislate righteousness, and welcome God’s presence.

Many churches today are:

  • Bound by ritual and tradition, not Spirit and truth.

  • Misaligned with Scripture on key topics like marriage, sexuality, and spiritual authority.

  • Spiritually stagnant, offering comfort but not conviction

⚠️ Caution: Not all fellowships today walk in truth. Some have drifted from Scripture in areas such as gay marriage, homosexual lifestyles, sexuality outside of biblical marriage, and denial of scriptural spiritual authority. Ask Holy Spirit for the Gifts of discernment and Knowledge:

  • Attend for a while.

  • Pray before you commit.

  • Test what’s taught against the Scriptures that you are reading every day.

  • Look for the Fruit of the Spirit being manifest, not just eloquent preaching or numerous programs.

🕍 Choosing the Right Spiritual Family

Some Messianic believers—especially those coming from Judaism—find deep connection in Messianic fellowships, often led by believing rabbis who honor both Torah, Yeshua (Jesus) and the New Testament. Many are also charismatic and full gospel.

Also consider some of the denominations below:

  • Pentecostal, Assemblies of God, or Christian Missionary Alliance churches.

  • Charismatic communities within traditional denominations—though these must be carefully evaluated.

Even in broken systems, God preserves a remnant. Your spiritual family doesn't need to be large; it only needs to be faithful to the Truth. Jesus must always be at the center.

Focusing on the Kingdom rather than denominations builds one family, united not by traditions, but by Truth. This is your new identity: not just saved, but adopted. Not just forgiven, but empowered. Not just believing—but belonging.

📈Strengthening Your Faith

Discipleship isn’t just study—it’s transformation from the inside out, guided step-by-step by the Holy Spirit.

📓 Begin with Intentional Milestones

Here’s what growth may look like as you walk it out:

  • 🕊️ In time, learn the whole gospel and understand the Scriptures with the Spirit’s help, rather than just embracing man's traditions.

  • ⬇️ Begin your Kingdom journey by undergoing Water Baptism as soon as possible and safely. A public declaration of your faith and spiritual rebirth is essential, but if you are changing from another faith, it may be risky. Public doesn't mean the whole world; it can mean just you and your baptizer.  It symbolizes dying to your old life and rising into a new life in Christ. Jews have a word, mikveh (mikvah), meaning a gathering of water (around you). It means complete immersion and was central to conversion, preparation for marriage, and cleansing from uncleanness. It's the concept behind Christian baptism, being cleansed from the old, carnal self, and putting on the new righteousness that Jesus offers us. The  video on baptism in the Beginner's Section series explains the basics of water baptism.

  • 🔄 Be aware of the transformation of your mind and emotions, so they align with the Messiah’s character, and not the evil inclinations that "died" in your water baptism. For a time, the carnal nature will keep speaking to you, and not obeying it is a manifestation of your love for Jesus.

  • 🛐 Find fellowship with other Kingdom Believers, where truth is spoken, the Holy Spirit's presence manifests, and God's supernatural healing flows in signs and wonders. They still exist!

  • 📚 Seek out spiritual mentors who walk in humility and submit to Spirit-led authority.

  • 🤝 Join in worship and fellowship, so your roots grow deep in shared faith.

Growth takes time - be diligent, but don't be in a hurry. Each success is a step forward that sharpens your strength, increases your discernment, and reveals more of who God created you to be.

Some of the following topics are covered in the Learner's Section, but they are all areas to be aware of as you grow in your faith.

🕊️ Holy Spirit Baptism

After water baptism, seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit—a powerful indwelling that helps grow the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, the olives on the olive tree, and deeper intimacy with God. These may occur concurrently or separately, happening in either order.

💔 Personal Spiritual Healing

Invite the Holy Spirit to heal wounds—physical, emotional, and spiritual. This includes trauma like PTSD, soul fragmentation, demonic oppression, generational curses, or ritual abuse. Healing is part of your princely inheritance. Yeshua died so you could be healed, forever!

👑 Relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit

Being part of the Kingdom of God means being adopted into a Royal Family. You’re not just saved—you’re an heir to your Heavenly Father's Kingdom because of what Yeshua suffered.

  • A Relationship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit shows how being filled with the Spirit deepens your walk with Jesus.

  • A relationship with the Holy Spirit teaches us how to cultivate intimacy with the Spirit and walk in daily fellowship.

  • 🕊️ Learn about and look forward to the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as you allow Him to become more entangled with your life—no secrets or holding back here.

  • Forgiveness is available if you fall short of perfection. The Blood of Jesus speaks for you. Take communion regularly; it's a spiritual transformation.

  • 🔥Begin learning about tongues, the language of the Holy Spirit. It's a powerful weapon!

  • ✨ Begin learning about the unseen realm, where angels minister, prayers rise, and spiritual warfare unfolds.
